This is a neat little addition to any bag of motorcycle gear. This little kit is small enough to toss in your bag and forget you have until you need it. The air pressure gauge feels a little cheap, but that is something you can fix by purchasing another one for a couple bucks. The compressor itself feels very solid, but makes a ton of noise when in use. But this isn't a problem for me, especially since I ride a 600cc lawnmower. The kit comes with a nice assortment of connectors to a power source. I don't know that I would go this small for a car tire. I believe that Slime makes large models for bigger applications. For a motorcycle, it works fine. Took about 45 seconds or so to pump my rear tire from 28 PSI to 36 PSI.
Airs up whatever, whenever - OVER & OVER & OVER..........

I really hate it when people reduce ratings and post detracting reviews because something looks like its "Weak, flimsy, small, loud, big, or Might; bend, break, took to long to arrive, etc". If you don't know something for sure then don't comment, and don't rate,. These are a good 12V compressor. I've carried one of these in each of our vehicles for over 7 years, used them to air up my rear tire often. Most gas station air pump nozzles don't fit on the rear tire valve stem of a Kawasaki Concours.
Good to have on the road

I have been looking for a portable tire inflator I can use for my motorcycle and with the lack of choices, I deicded to give the Slime Tire Inflator a try. The inflator is really small (a little larger than the palm as the picture indicates) and comes with a case that fit all the wires and the unit itself. The unit draws power only from the battery so you can't plug it into a power outlet from your house. You can either draw power with the alligator clip, a pre wired power source (just like the ones from battery tender), or from a cigarette lighter source. Operation is pretty simple too. You just connect the hose to the unit, connect the power cable and draw power from the battery from whatever one of the three above methods and flip the power switch on the unit.
Great MOTORCYCLE Tire Inflator

I was on a motorcycle trip from Chicago to Deadwood, SD when I got a flat, 140 miles from nowhere. My buddy had a similar pump, though slightly larger than this model. Thanks to an emergency patch kit and this pump, our trip was only delayed an hour, instead of days...(try finding a tow truck/motorcycle tire on a Sunday). I have CO2 cartidges for inflating a tire, but they don't allow you the chance to actually find the leak like an inflator does (since whatever punctured my tire didnt stay stuck in it), and they aren't reusable! I agree with the reviews that the valve connection is designed poorly, but there are certain sacrifices you make in exchange for portibility. I don't know why they don't call this a "Motorycle/ATV Tire Inflator". That's what it is meant for. If you are using it regularly, or for an 80psi truck tire, go buy a larger, more heavy duty unit.
Great emergency pump

Motorcycle Consumer News rated this unit very highly. It is intended to be used for emergencies on the side of the road. It IS NOT intended to be a pump to use everyday for inflating tires. I would recommend that it be used exclusively for motorcycles and bicycles.

I ride an 2006 Harley springer and about a month ago I had a flat tire in the mountains 150 miles from home. I sat and watched Harley rider after Harley rider pass me without even hardly acknowledging that I even existed, not a one of them stopped. A couple of cages stopped and asked my wife and I if we needed help but nobody had an air compressor. After about 2 hours had passed a guy on a VTX (Honda) heading the opposite direction saw us as he went by, went down about a mile to a turn around, turned around and came back. He had the Slime air compressor and saved our day with it! I came to amazon and bought one online as soon as I got home that day!
Bulletproof after 50k miles and offroad use

Took this on a ride from California to the Argentina - then all over every dirt road I could ride in South America. The zippered case was too large to fit so the pump rode unprotected in the under-seat compartment of a DL650; I crammed the accessories in a small cloth bag. Why FIVE STARS --> It worked every time I needed it, over several years, and frequently for many bikes as we aired-up after coming off dirt or gravel roads. It's simple design is a plus (see photo) and it was still working when I sold the bike 3 years later. I suggest you hard wire a connector/pigtail to the battery directly as the provided clips are a little cheezy. Also, when you need it, Slime is a must have.
Slime tire inflator

I was excited to say the least when I tried my new Slime power sport tire inflator, I had a low tire on my car and I didn't want to drag out my large compressor so I thought what a perfect time to try out my new slime purchase. It worked great and in no time had my tire back to the recommended pressure. I love the compact size as it will fit perfectly on my Honda Goldwing!this is exactly why I bought it.

WOW!!! I am so glad I got the air pump. I had read all the other reviews and was slightly concerned ( Takes for ever to fill a tire) That is so wrong. I filled both tires on my Harley and still was able to fill the spare for my car in less than 6 minutes. I admit I was bad with holding the pump, But it didn't even really get hot. Maybe he was a WUSS, Or could be that I am a Mechanic. I love the air compressor. GREAT BUY!!!!!!!
Let's set the record straight....

I was hesitant to purchase this mini compressor, due to the price. I am leaving tomorrow for the Arctic, north shore of Alaska is my destination, the Dalton Highway. I wanted a pump that could inflate my tires after I fix a leak. I had originally looked at the cycle pump which is more than three times the cost of this pump. If the reviews on the cycle pump had been completely solid, I would have purchased it. However, they were not and I found the reviews on this pump as good, if not better, so it seemed like a no brainer.
