Slime Safety Spair Flat Tire Repair System is designed to instantly seal the puncture and quickly re-inflates the tire. It features a 12 V built in compressor which activates by the push of a button and forces air into the sealant cartridge sending sealant as well as air into the tire. This repair system is easy, fast and safe to use. It seals punctures up to quarter inch and the tire pressure is sensor friendly. This system has a safety light for night use. The Safety Spair 70005 can be used as a stand-alone unit to inflate a low tire or sports balls without using the sealant. Please note: this item does not come with sports ball or any other adaptors so those would need to be purchased separately.

I've used Slime Spair Repair in a can before, that worked great so I bought this kit because it included an air compressor that runs off the 12V plug in the car. I didn't expect much from a small compressor, but this surprised me. I was able to add 10 PSI to my mini-van's large tire in about 1 minute. That is much quicker than other portable air compressors that I've used.
Consumer Reports Gives This a Recommendation, With Caveats!

I haven't used my Slime Safety Spair yet (for which I am grateful), but it does receive a thumbs up from Consumer Reports in its January 2014 issue. They tested on 15 inch and 16 inch tires, with punctures from 1.5mm nails and 4mm nails.

I bought this Slime 70005 Safety Spair Tire Repair system to replace my Continental Tire Repair system which had a 2 year expiration date. This system is so much nicer and does not have a use by date so I am guessing it will last longer than the Continental system. In addition the Continental system will damage the Tire Pressure Monitors in your wheel where the Slime system says it will not. It has a nice light and is easy to use. I am hoping I never need it but it is comforting to know I have it in my Corvette which does not have a spare tire. It came fairly quicky and has a nice carry case with a reflective triangle on the back of the case to place while you are fixing the tire.
Great option for runflat tires
on July 31, 2012
My 2008 BMW convertible came with runflat tires, which have horrible performance, are noisy, have limited replacement options, and are expensive (lose, lose, lose). I wanted to switch regular tires, but was nervous to do so without having a spare tire (which would take up too much room in my extra small trunk). The Slime Flat Tire Repair systems was the perfect solution and gave me enough peace of mind to buy a very nice set of non-runflat tires and much cheaper price. Thanks!
Bought a second one

This is a very convenient repair system and works as intended. I like that you can use it with or without the slime (i.e. as a regular air compressor), too. I bought a second one for our other car. Nice that it works with TPMS, whereas others do not.

I like the innovative design! I purchased this kit for my wife's car because it's easy to use. I have more peace of mind knowing she'll be able to handle a flat tire now if I am at work or otherwise unavailable.
Nice little system!
on February 3, 2014
I have not used the slime portion of this unit (hoping I never will), so I can't comment on that, but did use the compressor the other day to help out a gentleman with a flat tire. I'm rating this 4 stars because of the design (its compact and sits in a little case), the feel (Has a high quality feel to it) and the performance of the compressor. I'm deducting 1 star only because the light is very weak.
Saved me a lot of headaches!
on December 16, 2014
About halfway on a long trip home I ran over something in the rain and had a low pressure warning a few miles later. Pulled over and my passenger tire was leaking air rapidly. I remembered that I had this in the trunk and put it to work. The instructions were easy and after I drove around a bit and rechecked the leak was sealed. The tire worked fine for the rest of the 600 miles home. The only major issue was I noticed steering would wobble at speeds over 70 mph. A great product that saved me from being stranded miles from home.
So good as an inflator and slimer
on January 8, 2015
Just used it as an inflator and worked well. My jeep tires were down to 29 and this pumped them up to 35 each in a couple of minutes. So good as an inflator and slimer.
