The picture of the item does not do it justice. It is heavy and of good quality and the length of the handle gives you great leverage.
Easily change valve stems while changing tires

Works like a charm. Screws onto valve stem in place of valve cap and pulls stem apart to facilitate removal of the pieces. Then, insert new stem through hole in wheel and attach tool again to install new stem. A bit of tire-changing lube facilitates installation of the new stem. Tool pivots to provide leverage against the rim of the wheel and straightens for easy rotation (to attach to stem). Simple but effective!
High quality construction & the price is right.

High quality construction & the price is right. I used it to replace some valve stems on my tractor rims. Easy peasy. Knurled grip for sure handling when your hands are dirty/greasy. The rubber cladding to protect the rim is a nice touch.
Good for tire stations.

Good product. The rubber keeps you from scratching the fancy rims. However, the rubber boot is almost completely worn off from how much we use it. Love what it does, but I hate how fast it got worn out.
Where The Rubber Meet The Rim
on December 4, 2015
The block that is used with installing valve stems is history. Because, this valve stem has a rubber connected to it; so that no damage to rims, as the stem is pull through the valve hole.
OK with caveats

Very heavy and stout, however, typical China, the hole for the ball detent was not drilled on center therefor reducing the holding power of the ball. So the detent does not produce the hold that would be desired, just sort of works but does not have that positive feel of a ball plunger. The pin for the hinge point was also drilled crooked putting the hole right over near the edge on one side and then when the head swings over it is a little crooked, not too big of a deal but the consequences is that since the hole is crooked, it is clearly in the stress zone of the tool - probably wont break (???) but... It would have cost exactly the same to manufacture this tool right as it cost to make it the way that mine is. On a good note, the rubber rim guard is harder rubber than I expected from reading all of the other reviews. The general quality of this item reminds me of 80's Taiwan.

This is a very sturdy tool for installing valve stems. I thought it looked cheap in the picture, but it is very solid, and I am sure that as long as I don't lose it, I will be able to use it for my entire lifetime. Much easier than some of the other small valve stem pullers. Additionally, the rubber protects your wheels from damage

If you do your own tire maintenance this tool is a dream. Works better than most and protects the rim better and has two angles to work from-
